Solitude

It was incredible. Our group had the whole island to ourselves. We learned so much about listening for  God this week.

My quiet time in the woods was the best part. It is something I hope to continue this when I get home. God showed me how much He loves me.

Service

It was nice to get off the island and do some clean up work at the Lighthouse Park. We got to climb the Lighthouse after our work was done.

Our group did some major clean up for an elderly couple in Alpena. Our group did in 2 hours what would have taken them a week. It felt good to help out.

Fellowship

Our youth group has been coming to “the rock” for many years now. It has become the best place to introduce new kids to our program. We leave at the end of the week completely united in the love of Christ.

After we returned home, our group hung out the rest of the summer together. Our sense of community really grew. We really care for each other now.
